Tucked behind a Native American village mound lies one of Brentwood's oldest structures. The Boiling Springs Academy on Moores Lane East was donated by the Primm family when the Montclair subdivision was built. Now restored, this 1833 schoolhouse is the centerpiece of Primm Park (also the entrance to Brentwood's bikeway).
Nashville is lucky to have a beautifully restored historic farm, right in the middle of the city! The Nashville Zoo was built on property donated to the city, an estate which visitors can tour as part of their zoo admission.
