Tucked behind a Native American village mound lies one of Brentwood's oldest structures. The Boiling Springs Academy on Moores Lane East was donated by the Primm family when the Montclair subdivision was built. Now restored, this 1833 schoolhouse is the centerpiece of Primm Park (also the entrance to Brentwood's bikeway).

My family took a weekend trip to Beech Bend Park in Bowling Green. Only an hour north of Brentwood, Beech Bend is Nashville's closest amusement park. We loved its old-fashioned atmosphere and slow pace. Older kids may try the wooden rollercoaster and water park slides.

Come along to the opening of Brentwood's newest park! Like River Park and Concord Park, Owl Creek Park is located off Concord Road--but much farther to the east, toward Nolensville.
