brentwood-public-library-concord-rd-hours-open-on-sunday.jpgBrentwood, Tennessee has one of the best public libraries around.

It is as beautiful as it is convenient.

The Brentwood Public Library has hours open every single day of the week!

Here are 5 new ways to enjoy the Brentwood Public Library on Concord Road. That is, if you’re not already a patron!

The Brentwood Library hours are currently:

  • Monday-Thursday, 9 am to 8 pm
  • Friday, 9 am to 6 pm
  • Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm
  • Sunday, 1 pm to 6 pm

When you step inside the Brentwood Library lobby, you’ll see my favorite way to enjoy time there.

Behind the colorful stained-glass panels lies a large room with comfortable seating.  The walls are lined with the latest magazines and newspapers from around the world.

I can’t subscribe to everything I love to read, so I make a point of trying new magazines out when I visit.

30 minutes of peace and quiet there last this mom a long time!

2.  Huge Audio-Visual Collection:brentwood-library-dvd-checkout-audio-visual-room.jpg

Did you know you can check out DVDs without charge?

The Brentwood Library has a separate room just for movies. Its collection houses far more titles than any of the Davidson County branch libraries I’ve ever seen.

If you have a library card, you can also download digital audio books and music free–without even visiting the Concord Rd. location.

3.  Community Classes, Computers, and Chess!

The Brentwood Library’s designers planned a spacious, modern meeting area.  Now you can take all sorts of free and inexpensive classes there, along with a thriving Chess Club!

Here’s more about my experience taking a free flower arranging class at the Brentwood Library.

4.  The Beautiful Children’s Room:

We love to go for storytime, or anytime!

The tree-lined room has display cases for collections, a fire-engine reading area, and books for every age.

Preschool storytime is open every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 and 11.  There is also a family storytime each Saturday morning at 10:30.

5.  Beautiful Art On Display:brentwood-library-art-on-display-art-you-can-check-out-for-your-home.jpg

Walking through the library is such an aesthetically pleasing experience, from its stone exterior to the Arts-and-Crafts details.

You’ll always spot works by local artists hanging on the walls, like this heirloom quality quilt.

You can even check out artwork for your own home!

Have you hiked the Brentwood Greenway trails yet?

The Brentwood library is a perfect place to start your walk!
