Something amazing happens in Brentwood on Tuesday nights.
Brentwood Baptist Church hosts a mid-week modern worship service for young adults and all other ages.
It’s more like going to a Christian rock concert with a bible lesson in the middle. It’s called Kairos.
What Is Kairos?
Kairos is a Greek word meaning “a unique moment in time”.
It’s not a moment like 12:00 noon, but more like a special time like your 30th birthday or the birth of your child.
How Kairos Got Started
Kairos started in Wilson Hall at Brentwood Baptist Church 5 years ago with about 25 people meeting to hear the Bible teaching service by Senior Pastor, Mike Glenn. Mike says that the reason they picked Tuesday night is because there was nothing good on TV on Tuesdays.
In the span of 5 years, it has grown to over 1,000 attendees, nearly busting Wilson Hall at the seams. While it’s “advertised” as a service for young adults, the people attending are from all walks of life and ages ranging from teenagers to retirees.
Michael Boggs At Brentwood Baptist
The worship is led by Michael Boggs. He has been in the band FFH for about 8 years. FFH decided to take some time off the road, and Michael came to be the worship leader at Kairos.
Brentwood Baptist’s recent construction project built, among other things, a coffee shop and a new auditorium that will be home to Kairos when the construction is finished.
Stop by to check it out. It really is amazing!
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for coffee and snacks, worship & music starts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday nights.

I’ve lived in and around Brentwood, Tennessee for most of my life. I grew up in Franklin, moved away for a short time, and returned to Brentwood with a husband and preschooler in tow. I love gardening, walking, inline skating, scrapbooking, and spending time with my family.
