Here's what it was like the first time I took my 2-1/2 year old son to Barnes & Noble in Brentwood, TN for story time. Clifford the Big Red Dog was the special guest.

When you first walk in the Kid To Kid store, it looks pretty cluttered because they have so much stuff. Besides baby and kids clothes, they have toys, furniture, baby gear, and maternity clothes. It really is easy enough to find things though, because it's an organized clutter.

We went to Pump It Up during Pre-K Open Play -- which is every weekday morning from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for kids ages 2 to 6. All the kids had a blast! I can see how fun this would be for a birthday party and will keep it in mind for later.

I went to the Day Out With Thomas event at the Tennessee Central Railway Museum with my son. He loves Thomas the Tank Engine and we couldn't miss this. The big draw is the 25-minute train ride pulled by Thomas himself. It was worth $18 a ticket because my son had a good time!
