I always read about the Lane Motor Museum as a fun place to go in Nashville.

Lane Motor Museum is near downtown, but a little out of the way.
It's in the old Sunbeam Bread factory on Murfreeboro Road.
Not one of Nashville's nicest areas, but the parking lot and picnic area were well-kept and seemed safe to us.
The Lane Motor Museum has an astoundingly quirky collection!
Many of the cars are European marvels with odd designs like 3 wheels or tiny proportions.
We loved the barrier-free (but no touch) exhibits.
The variety of cars -- and their beauty -- kept us all entertained.
When the kids began to lose interest, I took them to the big play area in the center of the room.
