New Lowe's Home Improvement Store

The old-fashioned Walmart at Nolensville Rd. and Old Hickory Blvd. has been demolished.

In its place? A rapidly rising Lowe's Home Improvement Store.

Now, if we could only get a Home Depot on the opposite corner, Brentwood and Nolensville homeowners will really be thrilled.

Of course, Cool Springs already has one of each:

Lowe's on Mallory Lane

and Home Depot on Moore's Lane

But if you don't want to fight the Cool Springs traffic, the new Lowe's at Nolensville Rd. may be your closest place to buy building materials, garden plants, and paint.

I'm amazed at the rapid growth of east Brentwood subdivisions all the way down to Nolensville proper. All those new homes will be closer to this Lowe's than to the Cool Springs location.

In fact, the new Walmart Supercenter just down Nolensville Rd. is officially called the Brentwood Walmart by company employees...

...even though it has a Nashville address!

The next closest Home Depot store is located across from 100 Oaks Mall at Powell Ave. and Thompson Lane.
