If you’re into scrapbooking and have not been to a CK Convention before, it’s well worth your time.

The conventions are held throughout the year, in different cities around the country.

If you’re not in the Nashville, TN area, check out the schedule to find a city near you.

My CK Scrapbook Convention Experience

Last year was my first convention, and I had a great time.

Honestly, it’s a bit exhausting to run through the Opryland Hotel for 2 days in an effort to get to your next class on time, but I guess I brought that on myself since there is no rule that says you have to fill up an entire day with classes.

In fact, I didn’t have the time that I wanted to walk around the vendor area to do some shopping.

The classes offer an opportunity to try out different products and techniques that you may not already have experience using.

If you do plan to attend, register as soon as possible – the classes tend to fill up early. The online registration is easy and guarantees your space.

Tips For Attending A Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention

A few other tips for you (now that I’m officially experienced):

  • Be comfortable – 8:30am to 11:30pm is a long day.
  • Use a backpack to carry your supplies, class projects and for anything you might buy from the retailers
  • Plan your classes with lunch and dinner in mind; there are plenty of places inside the hotel to grab a something. Last year we booked the classes too close together and didn’t have time to eat.
  • Don’t worry about finishing the class projects while you’re there. You can finish them after you get home, and staying in one class too long will put you behind on the next class.
  • Remember the products that you like using in the classes, chances are they’re for sale in the vendor area.
  • Take a camera with you. You’ll see more ideas than you can possibly remember. Just snap a picture and move on.

Now – we wait. Only 3 months to go….
