Cool Springs TN, kids

Just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Brentwood is a super-fun indoor play place named The Monkey’s Treehouse.

It’s only about 7 miles west, located in Bellevue, and well worth the trip.

UPDATE: The Monkey’s Treehouse has moved to its new location in Cool Springs! (Photos are from the old Bellevue location.)

For $8.50 admission, your child (age 0 to 8) gets access to:

  • a real tree house
  • a “sand” box (it’s really rubber mulch)
  • an art center
  • a full-size play kitchen
  • a dress-up theater
  • various play stations throughout
  • and a soft toddler area for the under-3 crowd

All of this is housed indoors, so weather is never a concern. You can even leave for lunch and come back later with no additional charge!

They have couches, chairs, magazines, wifi and TVs so the parents can relax while their kids have fun.

They also have a little boutique in the lobby area for your shopping pleasure. It’s a fantastic place to have a play date. The parents can sit and chat while the kids are playing together.

There is a McDonald’s located conveniently in the same parking lot. With their re-entry policy, it is nice to take a break for lunch and return for more fun. I, personally, think that early afternoon is the best time to be there since most people have already left for the day.
