I recently moved to the area and am on a fast track to getting to know my way around. I have 4 kids, so I will be writing a lot about family-friendly activities. I also network with several other mothers and am always looking for good ideas.

In our first 50-minute dance lesson, we learned 3 basic dances: the waltz, the push-pull swing, and the rumba. Both my husband and myself admit we are not very coordinated, but we were excited to find that we could both manage the basic steps. The instructor made it very easy.

At Fleet Feet in Brentwood, I not only found a great place to shop, with friendly workers and no-pressure help, I may have found my next pair of running shoes. The best things about Fleetfeet is their expert knowledge about shoes, sports, and running in particular... and their excellent customer service.

Stops at The Feed Mill, The Curly Willow, ShopGirl and Martin's will give you a fun afternoon of browsing, a great meal and probably some good treasures. It is definitely worth the drive to Nolensville, Tennessee.

The Nolensville Feed Mill offers antiques, gift baskets, candies and brittles, salsa, pickles, live music, and handmade housewares from the Amish. Where else can you find such a wonderful array of goodies in Nolensville, Tennessee? It's just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Brentwood.

The Christian music trio Point of Grace performs its Winter Wonderland Tour at Otter Creek Church on Thursday, December 18th. It will be all Christmas music. I have both of their Christmas albums, and look forward to this show... and a new Christmas CD!
