chicos-coolsprings.jpgI recently stopped in the Chico’s store in Cool Springs.

Having only experienced Chico’s through its clothing catalog, I was impressed with the cozy lighting, rich colors, and the textures of all the native-style jewelry at the Cool Springs Chico’s store.

And did I mention the most important thing?

Chico’s in Cool Springs carries short length pants in stock.

Let me explain. I’ve long been a fan of Chico’s trademark Travelers line. It’s a unique knit fabric sometimes described as “slinky.” All the “base” colors can be mixed and matched.

You can throw it in a suitcase and wear it completely unwrinkled on the other side of the globe. Or, leave it on a pile on the floor and be amazed the next day. NO WRINKLES!

Chico’s Traveler clothing can be thrown in the washer or handwashed in a hotel sink. Just hang it up, and it will be dry shortly after.

Need petite length pants?

The problem with Chico’s Traveler clothing was always its length. We petite women couldn’t wear the long trousers, and the slinky knit fabric was difficult to hem. We were so happy to find Chico’s unique sizing system (0, 1, 2, and 3) expanded to include short lengths!

This week, Chico’s holds its annual Focus On Fall Sale, with prices slashed up to 65% off.

Need cheaper Chico’s clothing?
The Brentwood Steinmart on Franklin Road stocks a line of clothing similar to Chico’s Travelers. I don’t think the knit is as heavy as Chico’s, but it is cheaper.
