I've been looking for the best Brentwood hotel for our out-of-town visitors. 

So far I've checked the business and suite hotels in Maryland Farms, the lovely but out-of-the-way Hilton Suites on Church St., and the easy-to-find Holiday Inn on Old Hickory Blvd.

My favorite Brentwood hotel is one I never spotted before:  The Best Western Steeplechase Inn on Franklin Pike Circle.

Like everyone else in Nashville, I've been watching HGTV's Design Star 3.

Busy sleuthing the house's secret location, I almost missed the show's run through Brentwood!

That's right -- the Design Star teams seem to do most of their shopping around Cool Springs, even when the Sara Evans suite project was located all the way over at Opryland.

Here are some of the Brentwood-area stores I spotted on Design Star 3...

I needed a dermatologist in Brentwood, and I needed one fast.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield's directory listed Dr. John Binhlam in Maryland Farms.

His office was able to make an appointment within 3 days.

We're close to 3 great farmer's markets in the Nashville area.
