Letterboxing: Finding Hidden Treasures In Brentwood TN

| Comments (0)

family-letterboxing-treasure-hunt.jpg If you are looking for an adventurous way to spend a beautiful Brentwood afternoon, try Letterboxing!

My family discovered letterboxing several years ago, and we were excited when we moved to the area to see what local letterboxes we could find here.

We had some friends in town and thought it might be a good way to show them Brentwood, so we chose 2 letterboxes to hunt down.

Like us, they have a high school child and younger kids as well; this is an activity that is fun for different ages. (It makes a great date activity, as well.)

8 Home Remedies For Spring Allergy Relief

| Comments (1)

trees-blooming-in-spring-tennessee.jpg Spring has sprung in Brentwood and allergy season is upon us.

As much as I love springtime, with all of the beautiful green grass and budding flowers, I have terrible allergies that start with the palms of my hands itching even before any of the normal signs of spring can be seen.

A friend once told me that I was to allergy season what the groundhog is to spring. Funny, but pretty true.

I'm not a doctor, so take this list with a grain of salt, but I thought I'd pass along some of the home remedies that seem to help me in the peak of allergy season...

National Dance Clubs - A Brentwood Dance Studio That Offers Nightly Dancing Lessons

national-dance-clubs-brentwood-tn.jpg My husband and I are always looking for fun date ideas that are a change from dinner and a movie (or in our case, walking around Target).

We were excited when some friends of ours invited us to take a ballroom dance class with them.

Our friends, Lisa and Wayne, have been taking lessons for awhile at National Dance Clubs, so they brought us to their lesson night.

It was a really fun evening out. Here are the highlights...

grunge-dollar-sign-by-ba1969.jpg Pocketbooks are getting tighter as entertainment costs are going up.

This is leaving families extra creative as they try to find ways to have affordable fun.

As a relative newcomer to the Brentwood area, I've been thrilled with all the coupon books and half-off dining options that I have found.

There are lots of great discounts around that have allowed me to try some pretty great places in Brentwood.

Tower Park Walking Paths In Brentwood, Tennessee

tower-park-walking-path-bike-path-brentwood.jpg One of Brentwood’s “best kept secret” parks is Tower Park.

It is across Concord Road from the River Park trailhead, and it's not nearly as busy as River Park and Crockett Park.

I spent an afternoon at Tower Park recently with my daughter and our bicycles. She is just learning the rules of riding on a greenway with so many other people so I was very happy to have a less crowded park to try out for that.

Brentwood Connection Center At BBC

brentwood-connection-center-cafe.jpg The latest cool thing to open in Brentwood is the Connection Center at Brentwood Baptist Church.

The Connection Center is the 75,000 square foot facility that was built onto the church as a part of the church's latest expansion project. It includes a café, auditorium, bookstore, and basketball courts to name a few things.

I've had a lot of people ask me why the church needs to be *even bigger*.

Five Guys Burgers & Fries Restaurant In Brentwood

five-guys-burgers-and-fries-brentwood-tn.jpg Five Guys Burgers and Fries is a fairly new restaurant in the Brentwood Place Shopping Center.

Unlike most restaurants, it has very few items from which to choose.

They have stayed with the "basics" on their menu but those basics are fantastic!
