Fleet Feet Sports Store For Runners In Brentwood

| Comments (0)

shoes-and-socks-fleet-feet.jpg Each January, I start a running program that helps me train for a half marathon.

I've always been told one of the most important things a runner can do is to buy a great pair of running shoes. Being a bit of a cheapskate and not really considering myself a "real runner" has always left me buying a cheap pair of Adidas from Kohls.

Recently, I wanted to test out the theory that great running shoes are critical, so I decided to visit my local Brentwood Fleet Feet.

I expected the store would be high pressure and very expensive and full of runners who all seemed to know everything about running. Consequently, I expected to feel completely intimidated.

Instead, I think I not only found a great place to shop, with friendly workers and no-pressure help, I may have found my next pair of running shoes.

King & Associates Insurance Agency: A Review

| Comments (0)

king-and-associates-insurance-brentwood-tennessee.jpg With the tightening of the economy, I was interested in getting a better rate on my auto insurance.

I had been told that you can often call your agent, ask for a better rate, and you get a cheaper rate.

Going on this theory, I called up my big-name insurance agent and asked for a lower rate. She really was trying to be helpful, but on our 3 auto policies, she was only able to skim off about $6.

Thinking about recent TV commercials, I decided to let Progressive give me their rate and the rates of their competitors. Somehow on their website, I found King and Associates, a local independent insurance agency, where in addition to Progressive insurance, they can write 8 other companies' insurance policies.

nolensville-feed-mill-antiques.jpgRecently I wrote an article about the Nolensville Feed Mill, a great place to visit.

My plan was to write about all the places to visit in Nolensville but I found that The Feed Mill was worth a whole story itself.

However, I didn't want you to miss some of the other places in town that make a visit to Nolensville a fun way to spend an afternoon.

In addition to the Feed Mill, Nolensville has some other great places to stop in and browse...

nolensville-feed-mill-nolensville-tn.jpg Just a few short minutes from Brentwood is the sweet little town, Nolensville, which offers a fun afternoon of shopping and treasure hunting.

I've driven past the Nolensville Feed Mill several times and wanted to go in. Recently, my daughter and I decided to make an afternoon of browsing the Feed Mill and other Nolensville shops.

Nolensville is a small town in the middle of some beautiful farm land. In the last several years subdivisions have moved in and Nolensville has grown quickly. Nevertheless, driving down Nolensville Road through the old part of Nolensville feels like a step back in time.

Brentwood-Place-Shopping-Center.png Rain, rain, go away!

While I'm sure the rain is much needed, all of the wet, cold, rainy days we've had lately are not my idea of the beginning of a happy new year.

Luckily, older kids are back in school now but if you are at home with a preschooler, you might be looking for some dry things to do to pass the time.

We like to explore new places to find the little gems hidden within. It seems that if you keep your eyes open, even the strangest places can be a diamond in the rough for entertaining a child on a rainy day.
