HGTV's Design Star 3 House In Nashville
My decorating friends are all a-twitter about Season 3 of HGTV's Design Star.
Why?
It's being filmed in Nashville this summer!
Here's all the information I can find about seeing Design Stars in Nashville, where the Design Stars are shopping in Nashville, and where the mystery Design House is located...
'Cause if I see designer judge Vern Yip at the Brentwood Fabric House,
I'm not sure I'll be able to contain myself!
Design Star eliminates wanna-be designers in search of the most talented among them.
They'll be competing room by room with ideas that a middle-class family can execute.
Nashville blog Just A Pretty Farce carries the first review of Design Star Season 3 I've seen. Coble reports the standard Music City footage of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Ryman.
Is HGTV's Design Star house on Old Hickory Lake?
That's what Coble has heard. I tend to agree. There is a lot of remote land bordering Old Hickory in the Mt. Juliet area, where large new homes are popping up like hotcakes.
Another Design Star fan forum thinks it might be Percy Priest Lake. Even the Tennessean's Design Star article keeps mum.
The contestants shopped at Sears...but there is a Sears near Percy Priest in Antioch and another not too far away from Hermitage at Rivergate.

A former contestant from Hendersonville will be video blogging season 3 for HGTV. Design site Decor8 will also be dishing on each episode, blog-style.
Hmmm....perhaps we'll pick up more clues as the episodes unfold.
I also thaught those shts were by the methadest church too.
I too am thinking Hendersonville. I swear they've shown footage of the vans driving down Gallatin road out by the Methodist Church area. I've been sayin' HennyTown all along!
Heather, can you post the link to the "insider" article you found?
I always thought the location was Hendersonville but Gallatin makes sense, too.
I do think that it's Hendersonville. Which makes the drive to and from Maury County each day for the Oaklawn house in last night's show even more grueling.
I found an "insider" article online that says the house is in Gallatin and had pictures of the house inside and outside, before HGTV took over, so probably a pretty credible source.
My husband and I are getting ready to build alog home in Millersville....maybe the crew could swing by and help? LOL!
Hendersonville! Also on Old Hickory Lake, and isn't there a brand new Sears in the Streets of Indian Lake shopping center?
I just assumed that Hendersonville would be too full of people for a secret location.
I'm wondering if the location is actually Hendersonville, where I live. I recognized a Hendersonville church in the road trip footage.
