After seeing all the beautiful Brentwood Christmas decorations, I'm treating our same old tree to a fresher look.

Here are some unique theme Christmas trees with a Nashville flavor:

Most of Nashville will be waiting for the SEC Championship Game between Tennessee and LSU this Saturday...

...but the biggest rivalry in the history of football will take place earlier in the day:

the 108th Army-Navy Football Game

My husband played for Army, so watching this game is a winter family tradition.

I just checked what time CBS will air this year's Army-Navy Game in Nashville.

We're trying to go green in our Brentwood home this Christmas:

• a real tree
• wreaths handmade from leftover trimmings
• no outdoor lights or inflatable decorations

...and of course, our first set of LED Christmas lights.

After all, LED lights last longer, use less energy, and burn cooler than traditional Christmas lights. I wanted to see how bright LED Christmas lights look in person, so we spent some time this weekend checking Brentwood area stores for availability and prices.

I have one online friend who will wake at 1 in the morning to drive 2 hours for Cool Springs Black Friday deals.

One of my Brentwood friends is moving away from a four bedroom dream home in Winterset Woods.
