Perhaps the easiest-to-find Brentwood playground is located just off Concord Road at River Park. Or--as we locals refer to it--that playground next to the Brentwood library.
What should you know before you let the little hooligans loose at River Park playground?
River Park playground's convenient location outweighs its small play structure and relatively boring plastic dinosaurs. You can park just a few feet away, and bathrooms are easily accessed in a nearby covered area.
River Park playground is a good launching point for a family hike through Brentwood's greenway trails. You can also cross behind the library to the Civitan ball fields.
Keep an eye on your children at all times. The River Park Playground is only steps away from the steep banks of the Little Harpeth River. Kids love its muddy overlooks--but after rains, the water can be swift and deep.
