Brentwood's Melinda Doolittle makes American Idol Top 24
Our hometown girl has made it to the final 24! Brentwood vocalist Melinda Doolittle wowed the American Idol judges yet again. .
It seems that Doolittle's powerful voice and good old Southern charm is melting even the iciest of hearts...
According to the MSNBC Idol report, Simon Cowell told Doolittle (who sings back up at home) that she's good enough to take center stage. Then, he gave her a hug!
Brentwood, already home to many famous musicians, may just add another to its ranks. Doolittle and the other 11 female finalists compete against each other tomorrow night, Wednesday Feb. 21.
