The tornadoes that went through Middle Tennessee earlier this month made for a scary Friday afternoon. Like most people, I was rushing to get home to make sure my dog was safe (My family was actually out of town at the time, so I knew they were safe). Once I saw the pictures of the horrible damage done further north in Sumner County, TN, I realized how lucky we really were that day.
Some of the Country Artists living here in the Nashville area are putting together a concert called "Night of Healing", to help those who need it the most.
The concert is scheduled for Monday, May 1st at 7:00pm. It will be held at the Hendersonville High School Gym, and it's all General Admission. No need to purchase a ticket, the only thing you need to do to get in is donate to the United Way of Sumner County on your way in the door.
Scheduled to perform are Lorrie Morgan, T.G. Sheppard, several members of the Oak Ridge Boys, Kelly Lang, Gary Allan, The Del McCoury Band, Connie Smith, Ricky Skaggs, and The Whites.
If you cannot make it to the concert, you can still make a donation to the United Way of Sumner County by visiting their website at www.unitedwaysumner.org. You can also send a donation via mail to:
