Happy Tales Wine Tasting Event
It doesn't get any better than this: wine tasting and supporting animals who need our help - all in one place!
The "Dog House" Wine Tasting event will be held on Thursday, September 8th at The Factory in Franklin, TN.
The Happy Tales Humane event will feature Dog House Wines, hors d'oeuvres, entertainment, and a silent auction.
The event will be from 6:30-8:30 pm this Thurday evening. The ticket cost is $60 each, and can be purchased online at Happy Tales Humane or by phone at (615)791-0827. The hors d'oeuvres will be provided by Miss Daisy King's Scrumptious Southern Foods.
The Dog House Winery is located in in Santa Rosa, CA. You can find more information on their wines at www.doghousewine.com. Since Tennessee does not permit the shipment of wine directly to consumers, this is a great opportunity to sample their wine. Another interesting (and fantastic) thing to note, is that this winery donates $.50 for every bottle sold to the Guide Dogs for the Blind organization. Guide Dogs for the Blind provides guide dogs and services for free, and survives on only donations and volunteers.

On a lighter note (and somewhat related) the State Shipping Laws for direct wine shipments can be somewhat confusing. My favorite winery is Tabor Hill in Southwestern Michigan, and I am only able to get their wine during summer trips to the area.
