The TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on ABC has me in tears every time I watch it. For those people who are chosen to have their homes renovated/rebuilt, lives are changed. The families always deserve the help and the show reminds me to be grateful for all the blessings in my life.
Usually the show runs for one hour starting t 7:00pm Central, but tonight is a 2-hour season premiere starting an hour early. Tonight's show will feature a family not to far from here - in Clarksville, TN. We will watch a local soldier and his family start a new life. For someone who gave so much in Iraq, I wish them the best. I hope his new home has been the blessing that he and his family deserve.
If you haven't seen the show yet, I strongly suggest checking it out. The show features a deserving family who needs a home makeover. The design team is led by Ty Pennington (who I saw first on TLC's Trading Spaces), and consists of carpenters, interior designers, landscapers, and planners. The team has 7 days to complete the project and always ends in a race against time. Then the family gets to see their new home and imagine the new life ahead of them.
